Malaysian Hockey Federation Umpires Board (MHFUB) secretary Brian Fernandez (pic) is concerned with the lack of interest in umpiring.

There are 200 umpires in Malaysia in the four classes — Class Three, Two, One and International. Only nine are International Class umpires while 46 are Class One and Two umpires who officiate at the senior level.
